During the final week of the #myPOSCAsneakers challenge, Monsieur Lebleu showed us some rare customs with his Nike Air Force 1 high tops. We previously talked about this artist during his participation in Sneakers Summit at the start of the year. His customisation puzzles using classic trainers were an original and fun way to express your creativity. Some lucky visitors were able to take part during the Summit’s workshops.
To give us some inspiration, we asked him to pick a pair to customise and, of course, he chose his favourite, a style he had already told us about during our first chat: “[It has to be] the Air Force 1s because of the areas of expression they offer and their general vibe. ” For this pair, the artist opted for pop art motifs, the type of patterns you would find in the artist studios of 1960s New York, such as the work of Roy Lichtenstein, with his illustrations inspired by drive-in pop culture, comic books and American suburbia. An original design perfectly adapted to this iconic shoe which is (even today) a universal favourite.
