Neo Muralis is a contemporary urban art event that brings together street art festivals and artists for exhibitions held in several cities. In 2018, one of the stopovers was Tel Aviv, where in the context of the Saison France Israël, French artists showed their work in an exhibition. They (re-)coloured the Bialik-Rogozin school, a unique place that educates 1,300 immigrant and refugee children of fifty or so nationalities from neighbouring countries. A base where there’s mutual support, and art has a right of entry.
Five of them made the journey: Opera, Réso, Taro, Mondé and Tina Tictone, all multitalented artists ready to give their all to bring colour and joy to the walls of this enclosure that accommodates children from migrant families in dire straits. This social aspect is supported by the Saison organisers and is organised through the pooling of several French street art festivals, including the Toulouse’s famous Mister Freeze, which Posca has partnered with several times. The video offers a striking overview of the week spent there. We see a little group working and facilitating workshops with the children, handing out smiles and hope through creation and art. An initiative to look out for…
