Artist Lucas Beaufort, for whom ‘every second counts’, never stops making projects and seeing them through to completion. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all the travelling he does to create frescoes, collaborations, canvases and exhibitions; when he’s not inviting illustrators and painters to his Art Camp.
This time, he went POSCA ‘s headquarters in Japan. A five-day stopover on the way back from Los Angeles, just enough time for him to connect with some of the team.
Lucas just arrived from his plane, popped into the offices and took the opportunity to run a workshop with around forty employees. He knows Japan, its customs and precise rules, and didn’t hesitate to gently shake up this little world. In a masterclass, he invited his guests to let loose, make big gestures with their POSCAs, and even stain their white shirts. All with a big smile.
In no time at all, the audience is inspired by this French motivation, and it’s hard to remain passive in front of so much good humour in a blue lab coat! Entertainer, another of Lucas’ qualities.

The special guest took the opportunity to paint two large canvases with POSCA, mixing abstract Gus Gus. They will be hung in a good place, and Pablo, the in-house contact, will be keeping a daily eye on them from now on.
Back on the Old Continent, Lucas went to the screenings of his new documentary, which looks at skateshops and their social and unifying role, beyond simply selling skateboards. You can watch it on Youtube: HEART – A Tribute to Skateshops. Discover the strange world of these unique shops.
